You're welcome to Start with a COnversation
This is a simple way to explore what you're looking for, ask questions, and consider whether Sanctuary is the right fit for you.
For most people, this is the best place to start. From there, we can work out together what kind of support — counselling, couples work, or supervision — fits your situation.
Before You Begin
A few things to know first
Sanctuary isn't an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For crisis support: Lifeline 13 11 14, Suicide Call Back Service 1300 659 467, or — in South Australia — Mental Health Triage 13 14 65.
If cost is a concern, please don't let it stop you.
I don't want the cost of counselling to be the reason someone goes without support. Concession rates are available for individuals and couples holding a Health Care Card, pension, or student card — and in other circumstances of genuine financial hardship.
If that's you, simply mention it when we first talk. You won't need to prove anything or explain yourself at length. It's an ordinary part of the conversation, and one I'm always glad to have.
